Miguel A. Castillo is an internationally recognized scientific researcher, inspirational speaker (TEDx), and adviser, best known for his involvement and contribution to the United States Space Program. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, coupled with advanced studies in Aeronautics and Aviation, from the University of Texas. For over 5 years, Miguel has been a lead engineer at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, and dreams of one day being selected as a US astronaut. Currently, he has undergone 40 hours of training in core astronaut operations and written over 15 publications for NASA.
Miguel’s work at NASA incorporates a variety of skills including engineering, astronaut training, and scientific research. In the field of engineering, Miguel develops, tests, and certifies space hardware, and also creates inventions that help protect astronauts from the harsh environments of space. Today, even some of his inventions can be found onboard the International Space Station. Using the hardware he develops, Miguel trains the astronauts on how to use the equipment and supports them in real-time as they perform spacewalks. Miguel also looks to the future at NASA by conducting scientific research, including microgravity research on ZERO-G flights and research to understand the behavior of materials in the vacuum of space. All of Miguel’s contributions to the space program advances NASA’s overall goal of expanding human presence in space.
HEALING FROM MS
In the spring of 2001, at the age of nineteen, Miguel was diagnosed with Cerebellar Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). After being told he had developed Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Miguel began his search to find the cause and cure of his illness. Multiple doctor visits and tests ensued, but little could be done to bring Miguel’s body back to wellness.
After one-and-a-half years of having lost function in half of his body, Miguel employed a Neuroplasticity technique to receive one of his greatest gifts: the secret to his healing. Little did he know that receiving the cure was only the start of a journey to find his greatest gift, the gift of finding his true self.
With his passion for science and discovery, Miguel has developed a unique learning and teaching style focused on the principals of hope, positivism, and logical reasoning. His love for the Hispanic Culture and his proficiency in Spanish have allowed him to reach far beyond the borders of his native US. Miguel’s miraculous healing story and life lessons have touched the hearts of thousands around the world. All of this combined with his love of space exploration, Miguel can now say that his reach stretches beyond the stars, making his message truly “A Gift from The Universe”.
FINDING THE GIFT
At the age of twenty, Miguel began seeking answers that would help him understand the origin and cause of healing his life-changing diagnosis. Not finding the answers he pursued, Miguel turned to natural medicine for teachings that could help him understand how he achieved an instantaneous remission from MS.
Miguel found answers he searched for in some of the most ancient traditions known to man. He devoted much of his spare time to studying the Ayurvedic Medicine philosophy as well as the teachings of Kashmiri Shaivism from India.
Sixteen years into his monastic path of initiation under various esoteric lineages, today Miguel is able to transmit teachings rarely found in the West focusing on inducing experiential encounters to his disciples and students.
